The company also serves Japanese snacks including ramen, takoyaki, and bao, making it a popular destination for birthday parties, day outings, and date nights.

Originally founded in 1980 by Masahiko Sugino as a roller skate facility with arcade games in Japan, the company evolved into the first Round One arcade in 1993 and quickly expanded across Japan, where it now operates over 100 locations. In 2010, Round1 made its first successful overseas expansion into the United States, opening its first location at Puente Hills Mall in City of Industry, California. Since then, the company has grown to locations across more than 27 states, with typical stores spanning around 50,000 square feet as anchor tenants in shopping malls.
