Project Overview
Ramos Industries was engaged to resolve a critical issue with a newly installed storefront door that had been rubbing on the threshold, creating safety and usability concerns in a sensitive medical facility environment.
Scope of Work
- Precision cut of 1/4 inch to 5/16 inch at the bottom of the door to allow proper opening and closure without drag
- Installation of a door stop to limit opening swing to 90 degrees
- Protection of door handle from impacting the nearby precast wall
Site Conditions & Challenges
This was especially important for the exit door next to rooms occupied by autistic children, where it was critical to prevent unauthorized access or egress.
Results
A clean, functional adjustment that prioritized safety, accessibility, and long-term durability, completed with care in an active, high-sensitivity environment.
