Project Overview

Ramos Industries, Inc. completed a critical skylight replacement project for Onni Group at their 1031 S Broadway property in Downtown LA. This essential service job involved replacing an insulated glass unit to maintain the building's integrity and performance.

Scope of Work

The scope of work included the precise replacement of an insulated glass unit (IGU) within an existing exterior skylight system. Ramos Industries, Inc. supplied and installed a 1" laminated IGU featuring low-emissivity (low E) glass, carefully integrating it into the existing skylight frames.

Site Conditions & Challenges

The project presented unique site challenges due to the lack of conventional roof access at the Downtown LA location. To overcome this, specialized power cups were utilized to safely crane the new glass unit into position for the skylight replacement.

Results

Despite the access challenges, Ramos Industries, Inc. successfully executed the skylight replacement, ensuring the building's exterior envelope was restored with high-performance glazing. The project was completed efficiently, delivering a durable and energy-efficient solution for the client.
